Novel water-soluble Cp*Ir−ammine complexes have been synthesized, and a new and highly atom-economical system for the synthesis of organic amines using aqueous ammonia as a nitrogen source has been developed. With a water-soluble and air-stable Cp*Ir−ammine catalyst, [Cp*Ir(NH3)3][I]2, a variety of tertiary and secondary amines were synthesized by the multialkylation of aqueous ammonia. The metal unit serves in many ways, being either protecting group, stabilizer, activator or directing group. The reactivity of the organic ligands can thus be modified and '"fine-tuned". The use of metal- p -complexes in stoichiometric as well as catalytic reactions is .

Metal-arene p-complexes show a rich and varied chemistry. The metal adds a third dimension to the planar aromatic compounds and coordination of a metal to an arene thus not only altering the reactivity of ring-carbons and substituents but also makes possible reactions that lead to chiral non-racemic products.

elements, that is compounds with metal-carbon single bonds, metal-carbon multiple bonds as well as complexes with unsaturated molecules (metal-p-complexes).
Organometallic compounds are considered to be produced by addition reactions and so they are named on an addition principle. The name therefore is built around the central metal atom name. Photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction utilizing metal complexes based on the earth-abundant transition metals iron and copper was transferred from organic solvents into ionic liquids with high selectivity and moderate turn-over numbers.
Different classes of ionic liquids were evaluated to determinate the C. 1 Introduction. Metal ion complexes of vitamins such as vitamin B3 (nicotinic acid) and vitamin B9 (folic acid) have drawn much attention due to their biological and clinical significance .Metal complexes can be used as therapeutic drugs to treat human diseases like carcinomas, lymphomas, diabetes, and neurological disorders, for infection control, and as anti-inflammatory.

Triazole moieties with phosphine arms or phosphine substituents on the 4‐ or 5‐position of the five‐membered ring offer a unique and highly protective environment for coordination to metal centers.
Transition metal complexes of these ligands, especially Pd complexes, are used extensively in metal mediated organic synthesis. As an undergraduate student, Helmut Werner worked for his Diploma Thesis with Franz Hein, one of the giants of coordination chemistry in Germany from toand obtained his Ph.
in the laboratory of Ernst Otto Fischer, one of the great heros of organo-transition metal chemistry in the latter half of the twentieth century. Organometallic chemistry is an interdisciplinary science which continues to grow at a rapid pace. Although there is continued interest in synthetic and structural studies the last decade has seen a growing interest in the potential of organometallic chemistry to provide answers to problems in catalysis synthetic organic chemistry and also in the development of new materials.

Peter, pages, estimated price $ Organometallics in Process Chemistry Larsen, R. D,pages, estimated price $The possible formation of organo–metal–phosphate complexes (O–M–P) in aqueous solutions is examined by potentiometric titration analysis.
The complex-forming solutions contain Al 3+ -ions or Fe 3+ -ions, organic acids (salicylic, phthalic, oxalic, and citric acids) and phosphate ions.
The difference between the two soils relates to the much greater total amounts of inorganic P and aluminum (Al) present in the extract of the mineral soil. In this acid mineral soil, Al rather than iron (Fe) may be involved in the formation of metal bridges in humic acid‐metal‐inorganic P complexes.
